Jonathon was born in Alton, Illinois, was raised in East Alton and attended Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. Living in St. Louis, MO., he worked as an EMT and Paramedic while also performing extensively in theater, industrials, commercials and film, gaining his AFTRA and Equity cards.

After a successful run of Angels in America at the Arkansas Rep. in Little Rock, he moved to New England to be with his soon to be wife. While there he appeared in shows in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Next he settled in Memphis, TN. The next 6 years were spent as a company member with Playhouse on the Square, doing show after show as well as working steadily in industrials, commercials and voice overs. Jonathon and his family took a six month hiatus and worked on their language skills in Bremen, Germany.

Jonathon joined SAG when he arrived in California in '06. He spent two great years as a company member with The Chance Theater in Anaheim Hills, earning Backstage Garland Award honorable mentions for his work in Frozen and Rabbit Hole. He has since worked with A Company of Angels, A Noise Within, Gallimaufry Performing Arts at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Eclectic Company Theatre and Table for Two Productions. He has also travelled extensively in Europe as an adjudicator for the U.S. Army Tournament of Plays and has been an adjudicator for the California Educational Theatre Association.

Managed by Joy Stevenson of Stevenson Talent Management, he has studied with Kimberly Jentzen and Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles.
